21ST Editions is proud to announce the creation of Legacy Editions, a new sister imprint dedicated to the arts,
culture, and history. While 21ST Editions has focused over the past twelve years on creating the most elegant
fine art photography books in the world, Legacy Editions was established to survey the broader horizons of
history, the performing and dramatic arts, outstanding athletic achievement, and the dynamic nuances of culture.
It is the goal of Legacy Editions to continue the traditions established by 21ST Editions: to create books of
exquisite beauty and cultural significance; to reflect the highest standards of American craftsmanship; and to
honor and revitalize the centuries-old art of fine bookmaking.
Both Legacy Editions and 21ST Editions books are individually handmade and use the finest papers, bindings,
and printing techniques,techniques that range from classically elegant letterpress to the most advanced offset
processes available today. The result is an aesthetic standard of fine bookmaking that is unsurpassed by any
other arts and cultural publications in the world. Legacy Editions / 21ST Editionsbooks are published in very
small editions, and they are illustrated with platinum prints, silver gelatin photographs, hand-pulled
photogravures, drytrap offset, and the highest quality pigment ink prints. These hand crafted books often take
two to three years
to complete.
